Birkridge Builders, a reputable residential construction company in Brisbane was awarded the contract to construct a stunning three-storey home at Bardon in 2020.
During the design process timber look materials were requested for their natural look and warmth that wood conveys. Emphasis was placed on contemporary appearance and materials with characteristics that allowed them to withstand exposure to the natural environment.
To meet the requirement of this project, we initially discussed a number of products and design options with Mr. Harmer, the owner of Birkridge Builders, including Colorbond timber look range, DecoWood range and UniCote LUX Timber of the World range, as we have sourced materials from a number of suppliers that correlate specifically with garage door colour and design option.
The final decision of the garage door was a flush mount tilt door clad by Mr. Harmer with CoreLite on the face of the frame, then was fitted with vertical Aluminium 38mm x 16mm batten in DecoWood finish with approximately 38mm spacing between battens. This incorporated design is in keeping with the feel of the property and subtly match the roof decking behind the door.
Steel-Line’s custom designed tilt door not only protects the car and the contents of the owner’s garage from intruders, but also dramatically enhances the appearance and value of the property.
Mr. Harmer was ‘over the moon’ with the finished installation and was particularly impressed with how the garage door aligned with the design of the rest of the house. Steel-Line is proud to provide yet another great solution for our valued customers.
