Fonterra's Dairy for Life Exhibition is an ongoing installation in the foyer of the new Fonterra HQ in Auckland. The exhibition showcases the history of the company alongside the benefits of their milk products.

Designworks came to ECC with a conceptual drawing of the exhibition space with the ceiling detail of the lighting effect they were trying to achieve. ECC quickly identified Technica Pro from iGuzzini as the perfect product for the space. The aluminium extrusion containing the 3-circuit track that the spots clip into was cleverly customised on site to attain the cross effect desired.

Lighting caluclations were done to ensure that there was good light coverage. The nature of the track spot meant there was a lot of flexibility in terms of positioning it and directing light where it was needed. Also the ability to direct light away was particularly relevant to the areas where there are AV projectors running.

The overall result was outstanding and won the project a Finalist nomination in the Interior Awards.
