For our most recent accomplishment (2015) with support from Solarbright, CERA and the Christchurch City Council, we have manufactured a solar picnic table for the community allowing them to recharge their electronic devices through both USB connection and charging pads (for compatible devices). One of these tables is located in Paeroa Reserve off Paeroa Street right next to the Plunket family centre and children's playground. This table includes a chess board in the middle, between the two solar panels making it multi-functional.
