Grand Old Dame

This amazing historical Villa in Remuera was our second renovation project for Bruce and Emma. 

The new owners really wanted to keep the beauty and character of the existing home, but make it a more contemporary and light-filled space.  Moving away from the dark and formal layout and styling that it had been dressed in by its previous owners.

By removing some walls to tweak the layout, we breathed new life into the ground floor.  Allowing a more designated dining area just off the kitchen, a plush relaxing family lounge and a formal living room, just to name a few.  

The bathrooms definitely needed updating and the kitchen received a makeover too, so the home is cohesive in it's approach, both crisp and clean but also textured and sumptuous with the clever choices of window dressings furniture and bedding.

Now light, bright and flowing beautifully, whilst still celebrating it's period features and historical value in the area.
