This building was built in 1935 by Edmund Anscombe and is listed as a historic Petone building, as such SPACE Architecture had to work within tight restrictions for any alterations.

The restaurant required extensive remedial and fit-out work to restore the interior to its former glory. SPACE Architecture worked with the original features and enhanced these with colour and texture.

The rejuvenation of the timber panelling to the main dining room, timber floors, windows, doors and ceiling detail is further enhanced with the addition of timber panelled joinery to the front of house and reception areas.

A colour palette consisting of warm neutrals and deep coloured patterned wallpaper adds further richness and playful contemporary elements.

Light and casual during the day turns to rich and luxurious at night.
