A contemporary family home in rural Wairarapa, designed to meet Passive House certification, featuring a pitched roof that reflects local architecture while maximizing views and minimizing overheating.

Located in rural Wairarapa, this new family home is setting the standard of living for lifestyle properties. Designed from the outset to meet Passive House certification the layout has been carefully considered to reduce any overheating while maintaining large windows/door to maximise the views of the rural landscape beyond. The pitched roof design is a nod the New Zealand rural vernacular architecture while the clean lines and light tones are more contemporary.

“What a great experience with Jason planning and executing our new home build. He listened to what we wanted and was on the same page as us right from the beginnning but also added some awesome architectural features that made our plans even better then we could have imagined. Would highly recommend Jason to anyone.”
