The resource consent process for the Highfields Subdivision in Katikati involved the subdividing of one lot, into 69 lots accommodating a range of residential densities.
MPAD has been working closely with the clients of this project for many years. MPAD has led consenting to enable the subdivision of land in a growing and well-connected environment. The proposed lots were of varying sizes and configurations to allow for numerous housing typologies. The consenting process involved challenges relating to flooding and liquefaction, which were able to be addressed to deliver residential development within walking distance to the main street of Katikati. Medium-density residential land use has been enabled, being a more efficient use of land and existing infrastructure and services. This subdivision is now largely completed, and MPAD has been involved in the ongoing process of optimising the development through resource consent variations.
