A dramatic site is often best complemented by bold architecture and a hill-top location is a prime example. This home on the slopes of Te Mata Peak, Hawkes Bay takes advantage of panoramic views, with its sweeping curves and large loggias, a design trademark of Don Nelson Architecture.
In traditional European style, the interior opens out to a grand outdoor living area, complete with a covered patio and wide steps leading to a pool. Curves are a dominant feature inside as well as outside with a curved staircase in the grand entrance foyer. African rosewood cabinetry and a built-in glass and stainless steel table are features of the kitchen, designed by Sydney based Lance Dixon.
