Because of the very limited timeframe quick solutions were key; the existing free floating large basins were replaced with a new vanity unit and smaller basins, using the same plumbing outlets for toiletries.

The hotel features timber floors throughout, so rugs were an important aspect of the interiors, particularly for upstairs, to reduce noise for downstairs occupants.
