The Project

The owners of this large property in Huia Road, Titirangi engaged Asset Property Services to maintain their expansive five-bedroom, four-bathroom house. We have done this for the past four years.

Towards the end of 2021, the owners made the decision to put the property on the market and Asset Property Services were entrusted with the task of preparing the property, in particular the exterior.

The Scope

During our four years of maintaining this property, we had kept the exterior spotlessly clean with regular washing. Inside the house we had stripped back all the timberwork and recoated it. We had also re-gibbed parts of the interior and completed plasterwork renovations and repainted the ceilings. Roof repairs had also been completed.

When the owners decided to sell, they recognised the need to freshen up the exterior, especially the large amount of timber trimmings and features around the house. Based on their satisfaction with our previous work, they didn’t hesitate to engage Asset Property Services to strip back and stain all outside timberwork.

The Challenge

The greatest challenge for our team was accessing some areas of timberwork. Being three-storied and of quite a complex design meant some areas to be worked on were difficult to reach.

For one part of the job, we were required to make access equipment to reach the area of the house that sits above the swimming pool, an area that was particularly challenging to work on.

The Outcome

The result was an outcome the home owners were 100 percent happy with and proud to show off to visitors to the home. Now on the market, the entire property looks pristine for potential buyers and there is no doubt that the work completed by Asset Property Services has increased the property’s value.
