Phonic Absorb ceiling tiles installed in Hutt Hospital
Phonic Absorb custom tiles were installed in the Hutt Valley Hospital Heretaunga Block as part of the hospital seismic upgrades. The tiles were custom made to suit the existing exposed one way grid ceiling system installed in the hospital.
The tiles provide the medical spaces with sufficient reverberation control to ensure a comfortable experience for patients in waiting areas, radiology and high traffic areas. This is the first hospital to complete the upgrade, and the process was completed without disrupting the functioning of the busy hospital spaces. A superb result due to the excellent facilities management team (Stephen Tustin) and the installers who completed the work with great respect for nurses, doctors and patients.
