The Karen Walker stores in Ponsonby, Britomart, Smith & Caughey and Wellington were recently refreshed with a design brief that was to be warm, fun and classic with a simple aesthetic. The lighting was to be functional, bright and low maintenance, also with the potential to be mirrored in more than one Karen Walker store, with fast delivery.
Front spots by Iguzzini were chosen for their clean lines and ability to provide a large amount of light while blending into the background where possible. The Front Spotlight features 360 degree rotation and a 90-degree tilt. The elegant shape conveys Italian design while the 35W Metal Halide lamp combines an energy-saving light source with a high lumen output.
D900’s by Bright Green was chosen for their minimal shape, colour rendering and warmth. These are also an energy-saving option, with an LED light source, 15.7 W per fitting, 955 lumens and Tru Colour 95 CRI.
