The Kings Domain, located just a short distance from the Shrine and Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne, more resembles an opulent luxury hotel than an apartment complex. With its helix-shaped ground-level canopy and Ever Art Wood® Batten cladding, this stunning facade creates a bold first impression.

Bringing together functional design with intricate attention to detail, each element of the building, designed by SJB Architects, has been meticulously selected for both its form and function.

Ever Art Wood® Aluminium Battens have been used extensively throughout the interior and exterior of the building. They present a low-maintenance solution, retaining their colour and premium finish over time. This is in contrast to real timber that requires ongoing maintenance and care to achieve the same effect.

Kabebari two-part concealed fix battens were also used on the tilt lift garage doors and the ground floor entrances due to their lightweight and versatile characteristics.

Ever Art Wood® is designed to withstand environments that include continuous outdoor and moisture exposure. Ideal applications include garden and pool areas, ones that would typically pose a challenge for real wood.

The Ever Art Wood® range is also fire rated, performing well when tested to AS/NZ 1530.3 (spread of flame / index 0) and AS/NZ 3837-1998 (result / Group 1).
