Kotuku Dam, Maunu, Whangarei banner

Project: The Kotuku detention dam was designed to reduce the flood risk to Whangarei’s CBD, and for other properties and infrastructure downstream of the proposed dam site.

Our work: Reyburn and Bryant, on behalf of the Northland Regional Council, were responsible for obtaining resource consents and preparing the notice of requirement to facilitate the construction of an earth dam at the end of Kotuku Street in Maunu.

Reyburn and Bryant collaborated with a number of engineering, landscape and ecological professionals in the preparation of the resource consent and notice of requirement applications. The resource consents and designation were subsequently obtained without the need for a resource consent hearing.
