This 'forever home' sits in the stunning back drop of Whitianga Waterways, on the Coromandel Peninsula. The home recently achieved Lifemark 4-Star certification for displaying Universal Design best practice, but there is so much more to this design than meets the eye!
Having travelled to Japan, these clients had a love for traditional Japanese gardens and a zen aesthetic. They were after a design that incorporated a generous kitchen with family room and cathedral ceilings that transitioned seamlessly to an outdoor atrium space.

HAMR Home is a leading builder of quality homes, based on the Coromandel Peninsula in beautiful Whitianga.
We’re a family-owned business, with Mum Hannah, daughters Amelia and Maggie and Dad, Richard, from which we took our name. However, we have just added to the family with baby Anabelle coming on board the HAMR Home Team. We started our business in 2009 and, despite challenging economic times, we’ve been very busy. We attribute this to Richard’s reputation for outstanding craftsmanship, attention to detail and our history of exceptionally happy clients.
Richard has more than 19 years’ experience building award-winning homes and is a Member of the New Zealand Master Builders Association.
