This new benchmark for financial, social and environmental sustainability was a collaboration between ClarkeHopkinsClarke (architect), Breathe Architecture (interior design) and Openwork (landscape design).
While Little Miller and Nightingale present as separate entities with their own building core and lobbies, they share all communal spaces. Bike storage, basement, laundries and rooftop terraces all integrate to encourage strong connections and chance encounters between residents.
Both apartments share exceptional, 7.5-star average NatHERS ratings. They incorporate abundant green space and embedded energy networks to reduce metering costs and no fossil fuels. They reference the neighbourhood’s industrial history while activating a fresh approach to collaborative design and building sustainable communities.
