By MOAA Architects
The original apartment building dated from 1976. Its arrangement was typical of the era where many small spaces were unusable and lacked natural light.
The renovation focused on the simplification of space, an open interior, and the introduction of natural light. A material palette of blonded oak flooring, dark stained oak cabinetry, and white high gloss lacquer was used throughout.
Windows and doors were replaced with large format sliders to improve the connection between the living space and the two terraces. This also improved the thermal and acoustic performance.
