The Lufthansa Aviation Training Centre stands as one of the world's premier training centers, pioneering the integration of all pilot and flight attendant training aspects. It represents the first such facility in Europe, equipped with cutting-edge simulators and dummy aircraft fuselages, all under one roof.

In a recent refurbishment, LAT CH incorporated chairs from the Flokk brand Giroflex. The positive experience with these chairs in their workspace design led the company to expand their use of Giroflex chairs.

Established in 2019 on the outskirts of the Swiss city of Zurich, the Lufthansa Aviation Training Center offers comprehensive training facilities for all Lufthansa Group flight and cabin crews. Additionally, the complex features various office workspaces dedicated to LAT CH employees.

Originally furnished by Teo Jakob, the office boasts flexible workspaces, allowing individuals to work anywhere within the building. Four years after its inauguration, the workspace underwent a limited refurbishment. Lufthansa decided to enhance it by incorporating 115 new Giroflex 68 chairs, complementing their existing Giroflex chairs.

A key factor influencing Lufthansa's decision was the outstanding ergonomic performance of the Giroflex 68. With a synchro-motion mechanism integrated into its base, the chair moves naturally with the body's movements, promoting healthy sitting throughout the workday. The dual seat zone in the front edge of the seat helps improve blood flow in users' legs. This functional precision in the chair enhances the well-being of users, contributing to a more productive day by providing a high level of comfort and support.

The Giroflex 68 offers additional benefits, including its straightforward functionality, making it user-friendly for anyone. The chair's visual lines embody rationality and industrialization, whilst different users' upholstery preferences can be catered to with either a "runner" or a "soft touch" mesh, offering different levels of softness.

As a contribution to the holistic design of environments, the Giroflex 68 can be expanded into numerous comfortable variations on the same base. Nevertheless, they remain connected by the distinguishing Y-backrest and are carried by a fascination with the technological world.

The integration of Giroflex chairs at the Lufthansa Aviation Training Center reflects a commitment to ergonomic excellence and a forward-thinking workspace design. Giroflex 68 chairs not only enhance employee well-being but also contribute to a productive and professional training environment.
