Madam Woo banner

Madam Woo is a series of restaurants around New Zealand taking inspiraton from Malaysian hawker food. Flavours are big, fresh and innovative and the pace is fast and fun.

The interiors are inspired by different aspects of South East Asian culture depending on their location and the building; night markets in Takapuna, a moody underground parlour in Dunedin and a hill station tea house near the river in Hamilton. Designed in collaboration with Michelle Freeman.

NW Studio is an interior architecture and design practice based in Arrowtown, New Zealand. We have a portfolio of projects ranging from hospitality, hotels and workplaces to select residential and temporary installation work. We are enthusiastic hikers, skiers, yoga practitioners, cooks and gardeners - proudly occupying a heritage-listed cottage in the deep south.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
