Nga Manu, Waikanae

Designed as a refined centrepiece of the home, this kitchen combines natural warmth, contemporary detailing and practical functionality. The restrained material palette allows the richness of the cabinetry and clean architectural lines to take centre stage. The cabinetry features 18mm Melteca Dark Oak Puregrain in a vertical grain, creating warmth, texture and a strong sense of continuity throughout the space. The deep oak tones provide a sophisticated contrast against the 30mm Uniquartz White Snow benchtop, which introduces a crisp, light surface while offering durability for everyday use and entertaining. Completing the cabinetry are Romana handles in Brushed Nickel Matt. Their understated profile adds a refined contemporary detail, complementing the warmth of the oak without competing with its natural grain. Carefully considered storage, preparation areas and durable finishes ensure the kitchen performs as beautifully as it looks — providing a welcoming space for everyday family life, cooking and entertaining. The overall design balances timeless simplicity with modern functionality. Natural timber, neutral stone and subtle metallic detailing create a warm and sophisticated kitchen that connects with the surrounding architecture and landscape.
