Matapihi House Renovation.

The new house is built over original house L-shaped concrete slab, located on raised upper part of long rectangular site that stretches all the way to the coast, enjoying distant views of Waipu Bay and Mount Maunganui beyond.

Partly inspired by 1950’s Scandinavian modernism, the house is low profiled, clad with black painted board and batten with concrete stack bond concrete wing walls framing the house at each end and features generous north-facing timber deck.
