Purchased by Old Cromwell Inc in 2012, Jackie Gillies and Associates (now Origin Consultants) completed the Conservation Plan in 2015. Origin Consultants Ltd documented the restoration and seismic strengthening in 2018.

There were several owners of the house before the McNulty family purchased it in 1935. McNulty Transport used it as their depot at one stage and it was also a doctor’s surgery and maternity home.

Built in the late 1800’s McNulty House is an example of construction with high technological and traditional craftsmanship significance for the type and quality of its building materials, in particular the Schist stone walling with ‘tuck’ pointing, and its association with one of the well-known stonemasons of the district.
