Mellons Bay Kitchen banner

This contemporary style ultra-functional kitchen for a sophisticated beachfront location reflects the beauty & craftsmanship of a large, open planned, architecturally designed house. The kitchen is the first highlighted feature of the interior that you see, as you enter through the large impressive entranceway at the side, or through the large floor to ceiling glass sliding doors at the front of the house. This first impression upon seeing the kitchen sets the quality and standard for the rest of the interior, while not only being a functional space, the kitchen in its own right has an unique strength and overall sense of flow to compliment the open plan living atmosphere while enjoying the beach views.

The connection of all the materials used in this house is the number one priority and, most importantly, demonstrated in the kitchen. To create this unity, a complex mix of materials has been creatively selected. The scullery is tucked away cleverly at the back of the kitchen layout, with clean lines and a monochromatic colour scheme, it serves a more practical purpose to the main showpiece kitchen, which offers a social aspect for entertaining. In the main kitchen a contrast of PVD Champagne Steel on the open shelves, and a warm Fume Chestnut wood veneer finish for the cabinetry was chosen to compliment the Napoleon Perlato Marble benchtops, the natural oak breakfast bar and floors. The hints of champagne steel used acts as an accent colour to tie in with golden bell pendants, from Artek supplied by Matisse.
