Whilst the site’s elevated position above Johnsonville offered expansive views over the surrounding area, it presented a challenge with regard to access. The dwellings were designed to work with the existing topography with a number of them designed as split-level units. This also reduced the overall visual impact of the development. Clustered into groups of one, two, or four dwellings creates a mixture of scale and form while creating a sense of a hilltop village.
