This eclectic garden was a very special design and reflected the personality and flair of its owner. The garden was a technical challenge on many levels and made use of every inch of space in the inner city setting. The house was an unusual concrete villa with Mediterranean influenced arched verandas which inspired a particularly eccentric feel to the detailing of the garden. It is an exciting space with many twists and turns and a surprise at every corner. The grotto-like weir on the pool allows a true waterfall with a cavity behind and, as the water in the pool is oxygenated, allowing clean water and no chlorine, the waterfall creates a special environment for ferns and other plants to grow in close proximity.
