The installation evokes iconic Australian childhood memories: a musk stick-pink screen rammed earth, lycra, and Terry towelling detailing. Scattered throughout are cult icons: a pair of thongs, a pack of cigarettes, a used ashtray, a beer can, and mozzie coil – all painted white – serving as ghosts frozen in time. An oscillating fan throws a breeze at a single white curtain to assimilate life in an otherwise still frame.
