Step back in time with the beautifully renovated Onehunga Bungalow, a project completed in 2018 by Macfie Architecture. This classic building style was brought back to life through a major renovation of a 1910's worker's cottage, situated in one of the most historical streets in Onehunga. The transformation included the addition of new luxurious bathrooms, an updated living and dining area, and seamless indoor and outdoor flow.
Despite the challenges of strict heritage overlay rules and a small budget, Macfie Architecture successfully preserved the historical integrity of the property while incorporating modern design elements. The result is a stunning blend of old-world charm and contemporary sophistication. This project showcases the expertise of Macfie Architecture in renovations, residential extensions, and kitchen interiors, making Onehunga Bungalow a true masterpiece in architectural design.
