Tucked behind the familiar facades of a 1940s garage and a 1960s commercial building, this inner-city project reimagines workplace design in one of Sydney’s most character-filled neighbourhoods.

Our brief was to create a landscape that felt calm, balanced and connected - a space where structure meets softness and functionality doesn’t come at the expense of beauty.

The resulting courtyard and balcony spaces form a series of breakout zones that soften the commercial setting. Thoughtfully layered planting brings life to the edges of the built form, while a refined palette of hardscape materials helps knit the architecture and landscape together.

Our approach was to respect the site’s heritage while introducing a contemporary layer that responds to how people work and interact today. It’s a space that invites pause, encourages connection, and proves that commercial landscapes can be both practical and beautifully resolved.
