Pauanui Holiday Retreat

Replacing an existing family bach with a sustainable and low maintenance design and build, Coastwood Homes created a bespoke holiday home to accommodate growing family needs. A sanctuary to escape to is what the Mullan Family were after – a place to unwind and relax away from their busy Auckland home. And this is what they received with this design and build, the calibre of which placed it in the running for Lockwood’s House of the Year 2020. The clients desire was for a relaxed, pared back, beach inspired look and feel, coupled with a sleek and modern kitchen design. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a separate media room there is plenty of space for the kids, family pets and guests to enjoy and relax. An incredible holiday home design that allows for easy entertaining of family and friends, with expansive covered outdoor spaces and desks providing shelter from the elements while allowing this family to feel completely immersed in the outdoors. This design and build Lockwood home is the dream getaway that the Mullan Family desired – and they would change nothing about it.
