Phoenix Central Park is a testament to the enduring beauty and versatility of brickwork. The use of Krause Bricks has contributed to the creation of a truly exceptional architectural landmark that will continue to inspire and delight visitors for generations to come.
The building's exterior is characterized by a striking, sculpted mass of light grey brickwork. These bricks were meticulously crafted by Krause Bricks, a renowned Australian brick manufacturer. The design team worked closely with Krause Bricks to develop a bespoke product that perfectly complemented the architectural vision.
The bricks used in Phoenix Central Park are not only visually appealing but also highly durable and sustainable. Their warm, earthy tones create a sense of timelessness and connection to the surrounding environment.
A collaborative project, each element is authored by a different hand – John Wardle Architects are designing the gallery and Durbach Block Jaggers are designing the performance space.
The buildings and gardens are linked at many levels, above and below ground, allowing for an intense interlocking of performance, nature and art.
Krause Bricks has been a family owned and run business since 1945. The traditional craftsmanship and methods of clay brickmaking have been passed down through three generations, with each one adding their own innovations and modernisations.
