A contemporary renovation of a heritage home, featuring open plan living areas and serene outdoor landscaping, designed by Slessor Architects and built by MPB Builders, completed in 2022.
Introducing PORRITT, a project by MPB Builders, designed by the esteemed Slessor Architects. Renowned for their expertise in seamlessly blending contemporary design with heritage spaces, Ric Slessor and his team have crafted a masterpiece in the form of a renovated heritage home with a new contemporary extension. This project serves as a prime example of the harmonious coexistence of old-world charm and modern aesthetics.
The spacious open plan living areas within PORRITT offer an inviting environment for social gatherings, with each space thoughtfully defined by Victorian ash floor to ceiling timber screens. Additionally, the outdoor landscaping surrounding the property creates a serene oasis within the city, featuring individual spaces adorned with native New Zealand flora. This Contemporary-style marvel stands as a testament to the art of blending old and new, making it a truly unique and captivating architectural gem.
