Portico Restaurant and Shopping Village, Port Douglas

Development of Portico shopping village was an opportunity to create a unique shopping experience on the last remaining main street site in Port Douglas. The anchor corner site at the eastern end of Macrossan Street required a retail design that engaged with the topography of the site and drew pedestrian traffic and shoppers into the development whilst capturing the tropical garden essence of Port Douglas and matching the council’s stringent requirements for streetscape development in this important location.
