By Natural Habitats Landscapes
With the original house dating back to 1949, the client’s brief was to create a new modern front garden for the recently renovated home to compliment the new architectural style.
The main objectives of the design were to create a landscape that is a partnership with the home and create a sense of welcome and arrival.
Borrowing from the council verge and planting that space in a consistent flow of grasses creates the illusion of a much larger garden frontage, allowing a generous and private walled garden inside the boundary.
The palette of colour and texture has been deliberately controlled and contrasted to accentuate hard and soft elements.
The feature stainless steel gates have been designed in keeping with the modern finish and fittings on the renovated house.
