By Pretty Sweet Lighting
Completed in 2024, this stunning passive house perched on the hills of Queensberry showcases our latest lighting design project. As a reputable local builder, our client chose Pretty Sweet Lighting for our expertise in lighting design and installation. They were deeply involved in every design decision, making it a truly collaborative project.
Throughout the house, carefully curated lighting enhances every space. From the living room where feature lighting accents cabinetry and recessed downlights with copper inserts illuminate the dark timber ceiling, to the dining room with its three-watt downlights and striking pendant light that casts captivating shadows. Each hallway features discreet art spots and sensor-equipped tread lights for subtle illumination, while bedrooms offer task lighting, wall-mounted features, and ambient LED strips. The main bathroom boasts sensor-driven illumination and elegant vanity mirror lights, and the master suite is lit with wall wash downlights and hidden LEDs in the ensuite. Motion-sensor lights at the entryway and vintage-style exterior lights in copper and dark steel complete the cohesive, eco-friendly lighting design.
Pretty Sweet Lighting excelled from the initial concept to the final installation, showing reliability, clear communication, and proactive problem-solving. Our experience with certified Passive Houses and our dual role as lighting designers and licensed electricians allowed us to navigate the project's complexities and deliver exceptional results.
