The Raffles Hotel entrance windbreak area, designed as a stunning jewel box, is a showcase of elegance and innovation by Lamina Stone. To create this unique space, Light Panels made from Pure White Onyx were selected, adding both functionality and visual appeal. These panels were crafted using a sandwich-style lamination process, combining 10 mm extra clear glass with 3 mm Pure White Onyx on both sides, resulting in a total panel thickness of 16 mm. The Lamina Stone® Light Panels were mounted onto two stainless steel windshield constructions, with chrome covers carefully applied over the assembly points to ensure a sleek, polished finish. This sophisticated construction not only enhances the structural integrity of the space but also contributes to its refined aesthetic. The project offers multiple advantages: Transparent Design: The use of clear glass and natural stone creates a seamless, transparent look that maximizes the sense of openness. Resistant Coating: The durable materials used in the panels ensure longevity and resistance to wear and tear, especially in high-traffic areas.
