This full house renovation project in the foothills of Tauranga is a true testament to thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Set against the backdrop of panoramic Pacific Ocean views, this home captures the essence of coastal outlook living with vistas stretching from Papamoa, across the horizon to Mount Maunganui, and over the Tauranga Port and City.

Every aspect of this design was curated to maximize the stunning natural surroundings. Expansive windows frame the breathtaking views, inviting the outdoors into every room while maintaining a sense of privacy and tranquility. The new open-plan spaces create a seamless flow, perfect for modern living and entertaining.

The design incorporates contemporary, high-quality finishes while respecting the home's original charm. A balanced palette of textures and materials—authentic Japanese charred cedar, board formed concrete, painted original brickwork and glass—connects the home with the landscape, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout.

This project has been an incredible journey, turning an original early 1980's house into a sanctuary where nature and design coexist in perfect harmony.
