Heritage Renovation.

The brief was to prioritise adaptable areas for their growing family into adulthood with play areas, study space, parent retreats and car parking along with designated accommodation complete with kitchenette for an Au Pair.

Being a narrow block of approximately 400sqm, the challenge was to include all of the required zones within the inner-city location. Our planning included a basement and second storey, transitioning each space into the next without interruption.

The inground pool meets up to the house with an indoor fireplace bench visually extending out to the barbeque and outdoor kitchen area. Every inch was utilised to its full potential with design solutions to fulfil the brief and beyond.

A feature of the property is the alfresco and poolside area with the multi-purpose basement with a theatre, wine cellar and an unexpected pool window. The impressive three level extension celebrates the Victorian origins of the home whilst providing room for the family to bend and move for years to come.
