By Urban Garden Enrichment
The RSPCA Yagoona Landscaping project is a contemporary design that demonstrates Urban Garden Enrichment’s capability in Commercial Landscapes. The design aims to create a calming and inviting environment for visitors to the RSPCA head office, offering them shade, a water feature and fragrant planting, with the inclusion of flowering Crepe Myrtles.
The project also commemorates the RSPCA’s core values, the ‘5 Freedoms’: ‘Freedom from hunger and thirst’,’ Freedom from discomfort’, ‘Freedom from pain, injury and disease’, ‘Freedom to express normal behaviour’ and ‘Freedom from fear and distress’ which are represented in the water feature sculpture designed by OUTHOUSE design. By day it acts as a cooling and calming statement to visitors and birds alike, and by evening it shimmers under its soft lighting, standing as a beacon of hope.
Urban Garden Enrichment was awarded a National Gold Award & Best in Category for Commercial and Civil Constructions by The Landscape Association Excellence Awards 2019. OUTHOUSE Design was awarded the Coveted Allan Correy Award for Design Excellence by the Australian Institute of Landscape Designers and Managers 2016.
