Silver Roots Atlas Plan

A refined expression of contemporary kitchen design, this project showcases the distinctive veining of Silver Roots Atlas Plan Porcelain through carefully considered proportion and precise bookmatching. Across the island, worktop and splashback, the expressive stone-effect surfaces establish a cohesive visual composition. The splashback is particularly striking, with symmetrical veining creating the impression of an expansive, uninterrupted surface rather than individual panels.  Fabricated and installed by Artisan Stone, the kitchen demonstrates the importance of specialist craftsmanship and meticulous material planning. Highly directional porcelain patterns demand careful consideration of slab selection, vein orientation and fabrication requirements to achieve continuity between adjoining surfaces. Here, the considered arrangement brings balance to the dramatic pattern, combining the visual character of natural stone with the versatility of large-format porcelain.  Working alongside South Island architects, designers, builders, joiners and homeowners, Artisan Stone supports projects from early specification through to fabrication and installation. Early collaboration allows material availability and bookmatching possibilities to inform the design, helping transform ambitious interior concepts into sophisticated, precisely executed spaces.
