Client: Singleton Shire Council
Location: Singleton
Sector: Community
The new Singleton Arts and Cultural Centre promotes creative activities in the Hunter Valley, providing space for local art shows and giving the rural community access to international exhibitions.
Located on a floodplain, the gallery sustains a flexibility throughout, catering to various demographics and changes in exhibitions, with the design being “future-proofed” to allow for further expansion.
Windows of different heights and sizes perforate the concrete envelope, providing a spectrum of perspectives to be enjoyed by both young and old. As a result, art and culture are not only appreciated by the community, but also created.
