SODA, Queenstown’s newest lakefront restaurant boasting stunning views of the lake and mountains, adds a sparkling touch to the local dining scene. Effortlessly chic, SODA features a softly-lit dining room designed by CTRL Space from Auckland. Their vision was to create an elegant yet comfortable space with a Mediterranean ambiance, appealing to a wide audience and inviting guests to relax and unwind.
In close collaboration with CTRL Space, Targetti contributed to the project with comprehensive lighting design and supply. This included bespoke brass pendants with simple shades and customized rod suspended aged brass can lights.
The restaurant is designed with multiple layers, offering a traditional dining area with scenic lake views, a bar area featuring casual seating at higher levels, an enclosed balcony overlooking downtown Queenstown, and a lakefront courtyard. Each space is thoughtfully integrated to provide different dining experiences while maintaining the restaurant’s cohesive and inviting atmosphere.
