Swish Coffee Brewers

PERTH | 85 sqm A Design Stables collaboration. | Lahaus Interior Design Studio. Rezen Studio. Swish is located at the rear of 111 St Georges Tce, corner of William St in the Perth CBD.  It is an 85sqm ground floor retail space accessible from both the lobby of the Bank of Queensland building, and the arcade behind. The space itself has double height ceilings with full height frameless glass wrapping around the front of house area.  The challenge was to work with the dramatic space to create both an intimate, welcoming atmosphere as well as maintaining the visual accessibility into the café. A dividing wall to the back of house space allows for organisation of the café both visually and functionally. The wall is clean and minimal, with coloured arches; a nude dado is a subtle playful feature of the backdrop that allows the coffee bar to stand on its own as a sculptural platform within the space.
