Our team here at CIVIX is proud to have worked on the Taemaro Bay Beach House project in collaboration with designers, Herbstarchitects. The project consisted of the demolition of an existing oceanfront bach and the establishment of new luxury accommodation in its place. Located in Northland's small historic village, Mangonui. Originally the concept was for a remodel of the existing bach, however, after a review of the district plan and legal instruments, the owners decided to seek a new build with multiple development infringements. Our planning experts obtained resource consent for this new build which included a reclad and an upgrade to the ‘Hill House’ as part of off-setting some visual effects on the Bay. We love how this new kiwi bach compliments and blends into its natural surroundings and are very excited to see this unique project come to life.
