Image Glass was delighted to work with Natalie Du Bois and her clients to provide a bespoke antique mirrored wall and custom mirrors as part of a full interior renovation in this Takapuna home.
The clients wanted a glamorous bathroom with a classic aesthetic - something far removed from the 80's "beige on beige". The antique mirror worked beautifully with the marble surround, tying together the charcoal colour of the walls while providing the light and reflection this small space needed.
This master ensuite one of the most important rooms to the clients, as part of a full interior renovation. They wanted it to reflect a certain feeling of yesteryear, with an air of romanticism. To give them a feeling of nostalgia, Natalie designed a wall comprising individual antiqued mirrored panels, which were carefully planned to fit four equal rows across the wall.
The final result not only looks amazing, but practical as well - the antique mirror doesn't offer the visibility and clarity of a standard mirror and having something stuck on and standing proud off the antique wall didn't fit with the client's brief. A bespoke-designed, flush fitting, bevelled, octagonal mirror adds something special and unique but ensures that the space is practical.
