By Featurecraft
Taupo’s new airport captures the distinct beauty of the region, while connecting visually to its natural landscape.
Featurecraft’s FR Birch Plywood panels line the A-frame ceiling along with perforation slots to absorb sound and achieve fire compliance. The light-toned panels work in visual harmony with the other spatial elements - Rimu trunks from the Pureora Forest, and Mauri stone sourced from the Tauhara Quarry.
Ticking all the boxes, the simple structure boasts an efficient and functional space with captivating artwork that tells the story of the surrounding volcanic area.
