In the quaint suburb of Northcote, nestled within Melbourne's northern village ambience, stands the 1930s Californian bungalow transformed by Alison Lewis Interiors known as Hartley House.
Bathed in natural light and exuding vibrant style, this residence serves as a serene yet lively sanctuary for its youthful occupants.
Originally cloaked in darkness both inside and out, with black floors, a matching kitchen, and obsidian accents throughout, the home had undergone a previous renovation aimed at modernization, sacrificing much of its original charm such as the front veranda piers and traditional double-hung windows swapped for aluminium alternatives.
