Built to showcase how a steep site can be utilised to create a spacious single level abode, this home features four bedrooms, two living spaces, and two bathrooms. The central living area opens out onto a private portico which is also accessible from the second living space.

The elevated section allows for views out to the north-west, making the most of the sun and makes for a beautiful sunset view. Dark, plank flooring creates a perfect canvas for the white kitchen, featuring a tiled splashback.

The tiled bathrooms are finished in an elegant lappato texture with brushed nickel tapware. Feature lights in the ensuite over the double basin add a touch of luxury as do the feature pendants in the living spaces. The exterior palette was kept light and neutral to add to the timeless charm of this project.

Rik and Fiona Flowerday have been in the house and land building industry for a long time and have built a strong reputation in the Bay of Plenty.

Flowerday Homes is a privately owned business, not a franchise. Aside from residential builds, they have also successfully delivered multiple light commercial, townhouse and renovation projects. Since their first entry in to the Master Builders House of the Year Awards in 2020, they have won multiple Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the New Home, Multi-Unit, the Builders Own Home & Showhome Categories and continue to enter the awards each year.  

Flowerday Homes are based in Mount Maunganui in their newly renovated office. Day to day operations are managed by General Manager Daren Green, a widely known and respected figure in the Tauranga construction industry. Daren works closely alongside Rik and Fiona and brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.
