Our focus for this beach house project in Metung, was about creating a serene and inviting interior that seamlessly blends with the natural coastal surroundings. Our design approach emphasized the use of light, airy colours and natural materials to evoke a sense of tranquility and openness. We incorporated large windows and sliding doors to maximize natural light and provide stunning views of the beach. The furniture was chosen for both comfort and style, featuring a mix of modern and rustic elements to create a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Coastal-inspired decor, including nautical accents and locally sourced artwork, added a personalized touch to the space. The result is a harmonious retreat that perfectly complements the beauty of Metung's shoreline.
Achieving Designer Elegance on a Budget: The Metung Beach House Airbnb Project
The clients for this new build project aimed to list the beach house on Airbnb, necessitating a limited budget. Despite financial constraints, we demonstrated that a designer look can still be achieved by strategically focusing on key areas of each room to add a touch of glamor. For instance, in the kitchen, we opted for floating shelves instead of overhead cupboards. This choice not only reduced costs but also maintained a stylish and modern aesthetic while providing practical storage solutions. By carefully selecting where to allocate funds and incorporating cost-effective yet chic design elements, we ensured the space remained both attractive and functional for future guests.
