An innovative apartment-style resort on Lake Wakatipu, offering lifestyle-oriented management and income options, renowned for its spectacular alpine views and consistently ranked among the top 10 Lake Resorts in the World.
An innovative apartment style resort offering lifestyle orientated second home owners management / income options. Nestled on the side of Lake Wakatipu on the Frankton arm of Queenstown, this steep site offers spectacular alpine views. Regularly named in the top 10 Lake Resorts in the World and multiple winner of NZ Best Hotel.
The site slope and southerly orientation provided quite a challenge to the design team. A design evolved with five interlinked buildings arrayed to fi t with the rolling height plane. This allows all apartments to enjoy the lake and mountain views. The walkways in combination with the major site walls and landscaping capture and distribute the precious north sun.
The development includes 89 Rees Apartments configured in 160 key combinations. Subsequently completed 5 luxury lakefront villa’s also incorporated in The Rees.
