The Riverhouse

A Modern Take on Coastal Classic

Inspired by the effortless charm of East Coast American Hamptons design, The Riverhouse delivers a relaxed yet luxurious aesthetic. Imagine soft hues, sun-washed timber floors, and natural textures, layered with architectural detail. Coffered ceilings and elegant cornices set the rhythm while Intrim’s mouldings bring harmony and proportion to every space.

Colour, Character, and Cohesion

Designers will appreciate how this home achieves a delicate balance between feminine softness and masculine strength. Each zone tells its own story: a pink powder room wrapped in a palm-leaf motif, an entertaining area decorated in rich greens, blues, and browns that invites calm. The palette is purposeful, defining mood and function while maintaining a cohesive narrative throughout.

Details that Define

In the open-plan kitchen, dining, and living spaces, Intrim’s SK79 skirting (230mm H) anchors the interiors with scale and elegance, while SK24 architraves frame doors and windows with precision.

Wainscoting, created using Intrim’s CR54 chair rail and IN09 inlay mould, introduces a traditional Hamptons aesthetic that adds depth and character. A striking curved archway, detailed with curved IN09 inlay moulds, showcases craftsmanship at its finest — a perfect example of how mouldings can enhance and complement architectural features.

Designed for Family, Flow, and Entertaining

At the heart of the home is a contemporary-classic kitchen that opens seamlessly to an alfresco entertaining space — ideal for families who love to gather and host. Every corner reflects EB Interiors’ signature sophistication, proving that timeless design can be both warm and welcoming.

Designer Takeaways & Pro Tips

Layering Matters: Use a mix of textures and subtle color shifts to create depth and visual interest.

Architectural Rhythm: Consistent use of mouldings and wainscoting brings cohesion and a sense of luxury.

Personal Touches: Don’t shy away from bold wallpaper or unexpected color in small spaces—they become memorable moments.

Flow is Key: Open-plan doesn’t mean featureless—define zones with color, lighting, and architectural detail.
